Ἐπεὶ δὲ καὶ ποικίλος καὶ πλούσιος ὁ τρόπος τῆς εἰς θεὸν ὑμνῳδίας, διὰ τοῦτο ὁ λόγος ἐκ περιουσίας ἄλλοτε ἄλλως θεολογῶν ἐκ διαφόρων τῆς τοῦ θεοῦ προνοίας ἔργων τὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ὕμνον διδάσκει προστάττων τούτῳ ἐξομολογεῖσθαι καὶ ψάλλειν τῷ θεῷ τῷ παρ’ Ἑβραίοις μόνοις τὸ παλαιὸν γνωριζομένῳ.
