ἐπὶ καὶ θεοφανείας ἐτύγχανεν, εἶτα ὥσπερ θειοτέρᾳ κινηθεὶς ἐμπνεύσει, τῆς μέλλειν ἀλλὰ καὶ αὐτῆς ὥρας ξιφῶν ἅπτεσθαι παρεκελεύετο. οἱ δ’ ἀθρόως ἐπιθέμενοι ἡβηδὸν ἔκοπτον, ἔστ’ ἄν τὴν νίκην ἐν ὥρας ἀκαρεῖ ῥοπῇ ἀπολαβόντες τρόπαια κατ’ ἐχθρῶν ἀνίστων ἐπινίκια.
