Ὅτι μέση τῶν Σύρτεων ἡ Νέα πόλις, ἡ καὶ μικρὰ Λέπτις, ἧς ὑπὲρ αἶαν Λωτοφάγοι ναίουσι, φιλόξενοι ὄντες, περὶ ὧν ἐν Ὀδυσσείᾳ γέγραπται· ἔνθα ποτὲ καὶ Ὀδυσσεὺς ἦλθε πλανώμενος. Ἔστι δὲ καὶ περὶ Καμπανίαν Νέα πόλις διάσημος, ὡς ῥηθήσεται.
