[οδ΄. Περὶ ἀφάκης.] Ἀφάκη δυνάμεώς ἐστι στυπτικῆς, ὥσπερ καὶ ὁ φακός. ἀλλὰ καὶ τοῖς φακοῖς ὁμοίως ἐσθίεται. καὶ δυσπεπτοτέρα μέν ἐστιν αὐτῶν, ἰσχυροτέρως δὲ ξηραίνει, θερμότητος δὲ μετέχει συμμέτρου.
