[α΄. Περὶ ἰδαίας ῥίζης.] Ἰδαία ῥίζα καὶ γευομένη μέν ἐστι σφόδρα στρυφνὴ καὶ τοῖς ἔργοις δὲ πειρωμένῳ τὴν αὐτὴν ἐπιδείκνυται δύναμιν, αἱμοῤῥαγίας τε καὶ κοιλίας ῥεύματα καὶ δυσεντερίας καὶ ῥοῦν γυναικεῖον καὶ ὅσα τἄλλα τοιαῦτα θεραπεύουσα πινομένη τε καὶ ἔξωθεν ἐπιτιθεμένη.
