[ζ΄. Περὶ ἰσοπύρου.] Ἰσόπυρον ἢ φασίολον σπέρμα πικρὸν καὶ ὑπόστρυφνον ἔχει. ῥύπτει τοιγαροῦν καὶ τέμνει τοὺς παχεῖς χυμοὺς, μετὰ τοῦ συνάγειν καὶ σφίγγειν τὰ σώματα, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ταῖς ἐκ θώρακος ἀναπτύσεσι συναίρεται, καὶ ἧπαρ ἐκκαθαίρει καὶ αἱμοπτυχϊκοῖς οὐκ ἀντιπράττειν, ἀλλ’ ἔτι καὶ προσωφελεῖν πεπίστευται. διὰ γὰρ τὸ μικτὸν τῆς κράσεως ἁρμόττειν δοκεῖ καὶ πρὸς τὰ ἐναντία.
