[ιγ΄. Περὶ καυκαλίδος.] Καυκαλίς. ἔνιοι δὲ τοῦτο δαῦκον ἄγριον ὀνομάζουσιν· ἔστι γὰρ ὅμοιον αὐτῷ καὶ κατὰ τὴν γεῦσιν καὶ κατὰ τὴν δύναμιν. θερμαίνει τε γὰρ ὡς ἐκεῖνο καὶ ξηραίνει καὶ διουρεῖται, καὶ ταριχεύεταί γε εἰς ἀπόθεσιν.
