[λβ΄. Περὶ κνίκου.] Κνίκου τῷ σπέρματί πρὸς τὰς καθάρσεις μόνον χρώμεθα., τῆς τρίτης γάρ ἐστι τάξεως τῶν θερμαινόντων, εἴ τις ἔξωθεν αὐτῷ χρῆσθαι βούλοιτο. [λγ΄. Περὶ κόκκου Κνιδίου.] Κόκκος Κνίδιος καθαίρει μὲν καὶ αὐτὸς, δριμείας δ’ ἐστὶ καὶ καυστικῆς δυνάμεως. [λδ΄. Περὶ κόκκου βαφικοῦ.] Κόκκος βαφικὸς στυπτικὴν μὲν ἔχει καὶ πικρὰν ἅμα τὴν ποιότητα, ξηραίνει δ’ ἀμφοτέραις ἀδήκτως, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο πρός τε τὰ μεγάλα τῶν τραυμάτων ἁρμόττει καὶ πρὸς τὰς τῶν νεύρων τρώσεις. λειοῦσι δ’ αὐτὴν ἔνιοι μὲν σὺν ὄξει τηνικαῦτα, σὺν ὀξυμέλιτι δ’ ἄλλοι.
