[ξδ΄. Περὶ κυπέρου.] Κυπέρου χρήσιμοι μάλιστ’ εἰσὶν αἱ ῥίζαι, θερμαίνουσαι καὶ ξηραίνουσαι χωρὶς δήξεως. ὅθεν τὰ δι’ ὑγρότητα πολλὴν ἕλκη δυσεπούλωτα θαυμαστῶς ὀνίνησιν. ἔχουσι γάρ τι καὶ στυπτικὸν καὶ διὰ τοῦτο καὶ τοῖς ἐν στόμασιν ἕλκεσίν εἰσιν ἐπιτήδειοι, καὶ μὴν καὶ τμητικήν τινα δύναμιν αὐταῖς μαρτυρητέον ἐστὶν, ᾗ καὶ λιθιῶσιν ἁρμόττουσιν καὶ οὖρα καὶ καταμήνια κινοῦσι.
