[θ΄. Περὶ καρδαμώμου.] Καρδάμωμον ἔστι μὲν ἀμέλει καὶ τοῦτο θερμῆς ἱκανῶς δυνάμεως, οὐ μὴν οὕτως ἰσχυρῶς ὡς τὸ κάρδαμον, ἀλλ’ ὅσον ἥδιόν τε καὶ ἀρωματικώτερον ὑπάρχει καρδάμου, τοσοῦτο καὶ τῆς θερμῆς δυνάμεως ἀσθενεστέρας μετείληφεν. οὐ μὴν ἑλκοῦν ἱκανόν ἐστι καὶ αὐτὸ καθ’ αὑτὸ καταπλασσόμενον, ἔχει δέ τι καὶ πικρότητος ἐμφερόμενον ἑαυτῷ, δι’ ἣν καὶ τὰς ἕλμινθας ἀναιρεῖ καὶ ψώρας ἰσχυρῶς ἀποῤῥύπτει καὶ σὺν ὄξει.
