[ιζ΄. Περὶ μηλέας Περσικῆς.] Μηλέα Περσικὴ καλεῖται συνήθως ὑπὸ πάντων ἤδη Περσικὴ μόνον, αὐτὸ δὴ τοῦτο παραλιπόντων τὸ μῆλον. τὸ δένδρον ἔν τε τοῖς βλαστοῖς καὶ τοῖς φύλλοις ἐπικρατοῦσαν ἔχει τὴν πικρὰν ποιότητα καὶ διὰ τοῦτο αὐτοῦ τὰ φύλλα τὰς ἕλμινθας ἀποκτείνει λειωθέντα καὶ κατὰ τοῦ ὀμφαλοῦ ἐπιτεθέντα. καὶ ἄλλως δὲ διαφορητικόν ἐστι φάρμακον. ὁ δὲ καρπὸς αὐτοῦ, τοῦτο δὴ ἐδώδιμον περσικὸν, ὑγρότερόν τ’ ἐστὶ καὶ ψυχρότερον τὴν κρᾶσιν.
