[λστ΄. Περὶ προπόλεως.] Πρόπολις ῥυπτικῆς μέν ἐστιν οὐκ ἰσχυρᾶς δυνάμεως, ἑλκτικῆς δ’ ἱκανῶς ἰσχυρᾶς. ἔστι γὰρ λεπτομερὴς τὴν οὐσίαν. θερμαίνει δὲ κατὰ τὴν δευτέραν ἀπόστασιν ἤδη συμπληρουμένην καὶ τρίτην ἀρχομένην. [λζ΄. Περὶ πταρμικῆς.] Πταρμικῆς τὰ μὲν ἄνθη πταρμικῆς ἐστι δυνάμεως, ὅθεν περ καὶ τῇ πόᾳ τοὔνομα. ὅλον τὸ θαμνίον ὑπώπιά τε καὶ τὰς ἄλλας ἐκχυμώσεις διαφορεῖ. ἔστι γὰρ ἡ κρᾶσις αὐτοῦ θερμὴ καὶ ξηρὰ, χλωρὰ μὲν ἔτι κατὰ τὴν δευτέραν τάξιν, εἰ δὲ ξηρανθείη, κατὰ τὴν τρίτην.
