[ε΄. Περὶ ὑπερικοῦ.] Ὑπερικὸν θερμαίνει καὶ ξηραίνει λεπτομεροῦς οὐσίας ὑπάρχον, ὡς καταμήνιά τε καὶ οὖρα προκαλεῖσθαι. χρὴ δὲ ὅλον εἰς ταῦτα λαμβάνειν τὸν καρπὸν οὐ τὸ σπέρμα μόνον, ἀλλὰ μετὰ τῶν φύλλων ἐπιπλασσόμενος χλωρὸς, εἰς οὐλὴν ἄγειν δύναται τά τ’ ἄλλα καὶ πυρίκαυτα. ξηρανθέντα δ’ εἰ κόψας ἐπιπάττοις, ἰάσῃ τὰ πλαδαρὰ καὶ σηπεδονώδη τῶν ἑλκῶν. ἔνιοι δὲ καὶ τοῖς ἰσχιαδικοῖς πίνειν αὐτὴν διδόασιν.
