[ιε΄. Περὶ κισσήρεως.] Εἰ δὲ καὶ ἡ κίσσηρις ἐν τοῖς λίθοις ἀριθμεῖτο καὶ αὕτη τῆς αὐτῆς ἐστι δυνάμεως ὅσον ἐπὶ τῷ ῥύπτειν, ὥσπερ γε καὶ τὸ ἐκ τῶν κεραμίδων ὄστρακον, ἔτι τε μᾶλλον αὐτοῦ τὸ ἐκ τῶν κλιβάνων, ἀλλ’ ἥ γε σμυρὶς ἔχει τι δριμὺ, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο τινὲς αὐτὴν μιγνύουσιν καυστικαῖς τε καὶ ξηραντικαῖς δυνάμεσιν καὶ ταῖς θεραπευούσαις οὖλα πλαδαρά. καυθεῖσα δ’ ἡ κίσσηρις οὐκ ἀπολείπεται σμίρεως εἰς τὰς αὐτὰς χρείας.
