[ε΄. Περὶ Ἰουδαϊκοῦ.] Ἔστι δὲ καὶ ἄλλος λίθος ἰσχυρότερος τὴν δύναμιν ἐν τῇ Παλαιστίνῃ Συρίᾳ γινόμενος, λευκὸς μὲν τὴν χρόαν, εὔρυθμος δὲ κατὰ τὸ σχῆμα καὶ γραμμὰς ἔχων ὡς ἀπὸ τόρνου γεγονυίας. ὀνομάζουσι δ’ αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς χώρας ἐν ᾗ γεννᾶσθαι πέφυκεν Ἰουδαϊκὸν, καὶ χρῶνται πρὸς τοὺς ἐν τῇ κύστει λίθους, ἀνιέντες μὲν ἐπ’ ἀκόνης, ποτίζοντες δὲ δι’ ὕδατος θερμοῦ κυάθων τριῶν. ἡμεῖς δ’ ἐφ’ ὧν ἐπειράθημεν οὐδὲν ἤνυσεν ὡς πρὸς τοὺς ἐν κύστει λίθους, ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν ἐν νεφροῖς συνιμένων ἐστὶ δραστήριος.
