[λβ΄. Περὶ ὑδραργύρου.] Ὑδράργυρος οὐκ ἔστι τῶν αὐτοφυῶν φαρμάκων, ἀλλὰ τῶν σκευαζομένων, ὥσπερ ψιμμύθιόν τε καὶ ὁ ἰὸς καὶ ψωρικὸν καὶ λιθάργυρος. ἔχω δ’ αὐτῆς οὐδεμίαν πεῖραν οὔθ’ ὡς ἀναιρούσης, εἰ καταποθείη, οὔτ’ ἔξωθεν ἐπιτιθεμένης. [λγ΄. Περὶ φύκους.] Φῦκος ὁποίας ἐστὶ δυνάμεως ἐν τῷ περὶ ψιμμυθίου λόγῳ ῥηθήσεται.
