οὐ μικρὸν δὲ δήπου διαφέρει καὶ τὸ δι’ ὀξυμέλιτος ἢ ὄξους ἢ ἀλῶν ἢ ἐλαίου προσενέγκασθαί τι τῶν τοιούτων· ἐπιτείνεται μὲν γὰρ ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν ὄξει τε καὶ ὀξυμέλιτι, καθαιρεῖται δ᾿ ἐλαίῳ· πρὸς γὰρ τῷ μηδὲν ὑπάρχειν ἐλαίῳ παχέων χυμῶν λεπτυντικὸν ἔτι καὶ τὴν ἰσχὺν ὅσα τοῦτο δρᾶν πέφυκε καθαιρεῖ.
