ταῦτ’ οὖν ἄμφω γνωρίσματα περὶ παντὸς ζῴου σαρκός, μαλακόν τε καὶ ψαθυρὸν εἷναι, καὶ τούτοις προσέχων τὸν νοῦν ᾧ μὲν γὰρ] ὑπάρχει συναμφότερον, εἰς κόρον ἐσθίειν, τῶν δ’ ἄλλων ᾧ μὲν μηδέτερον, ἀπέχεσθαι παντάπασιν, ᾧ δὲ θάτερον, ἐσθίειν μέν ποτε καὶ τόδε τῶν ἄλλων ἀπορήσαντα, φυλάττεσθαι δὲ τὸν κόρον.
