Ἐν πάσῃ κινήσει τοῦ σώματος, ὅταν ἄρχηται πονέειν, τὸ διαναπαύειν εὐθὺς ἄκοπον. Τὸ πονεῖν σημαίνει μὲν καὶ τὸ ἀλγεῖν, σημαίνει δὲ καὶ τὸ κάμνειν καὶ καθ’ ἑκάτερόν γε ὁ λόγος αὐτῶν ἀληθής ἐστιν. ἐάν τε γὰρ ἀλγῶσιν ἤδη τὰ μόρια διὰ τὰς πλείονας κινήσεις, ἐάν τε καὶ κάμνωσιν, ὡς ἐνεργεῖν ἔτι μόγις δύνασθαι, τὸ διαναπαύειν εὐθύς ἐστιν ἄκοπον.
