Ἀπυρέτοισιν ἐοῦσιν, ἢν γένηται στρόφος καὶ γονάτων βάρος καὶ ὀσφύος ἄλγημα, κάτω φαρμακίης δεῖσθαι σημαίνει. Ὥσπερ ὀλίγον ἔμπροσθεν ἐδίδαξε τὰ σημεῖα τῶν δεομένων τῆς ἄνω φαρμακείας, οὕτω νῦν διδάσκει δι’ ὧν ἄν τις γνοίη τοὺς δεομένους τῆς κάτω. κοινὸς δ’ ἀμφοῖν ἐστιν ὁ λογισμὸς ἐπὶ διαφέρουσι συμπτώμασι. κατὰ γὰρ τὰς ῥοπὰς τῶν λυπούντων καὶ τὰς κενώσεις χρὴ ποιεῖσθαι.
