Ἐπὶ ἀκράτῳ χωρήσει δυσεντερία. Ἀκρήτους ὑποχωρήσεις εἴωθεν ὀνομάζειν ὁ Ἱπποκράτης τὰς ἀμίκτους ὑγρότητος ὑδατώδους, αὐτὸν μόνον ἐχούσας εἰλικρινῆ ὑπερχόμενον κάτω χυμὸν, εἴτε τὸν τῆς ξανθῆς χολῆς εἴτε τὸν τῆς μελαίνης. θαυμαστὸν οὖν οὐδὲν ἐπὶ ταῖς τοιαύταις ὑποχωρήσεσιν ἀναβρωθῆναί τι τῶν ἐντέρων.
