Μακρότερον δὲ τὸ ἕτερον ὀστέον σμικρῷ τὸ κατὰ τὸν σμικρὸν δάκτυλον. ἡ μὲν φύσις τοιαύτη τῶν ὀστέων τῶν ἐν τῇ κνήμῃ. Μακρότερον ὅπερ ἐγὼ γράφειν οὕτως ἀξιῶ, μικρότερον δ’ ἐστὶ τὸ ἕτερον ὀστοῦν κατὰ σμικρὸν δάκτυλον, καὶ εἰ οὕτως ἔγραψεν αὐτὸς ὁ Ἱπποκράτης, οὕτως πέπειστο τὴν κατὰ τὸ γόνυ τῆς κνήμης ἐπίφυσιν κοινὴν ἀμφοτέρων εἶναι ὀστῶν, οὐ μόνης τῆς κνήμης, ἁπλῶς ἔσται μακρότερον καὶ οὐ κατὰ τὸ κάτω πέρας μόνον.
