Τὸν δὲ ἰχνασμὸν τοῦ σώματος, οὕτως ποιέεσθαι ὁκοίην τινὰ δύναμιν ἔχει καὶ τὸ ὀλίσθημα, τὰ μὲν γὰρ σμικρὸν, τὰ δὲ μέγα ὀλισθάνει. Πρόδηλον οὖν ὅτι τὰ μὲν σμικρὸν ὀλισθήσαντα μετριωτέρας δεῖται τῆς ἐπιμελείας, τὰ δ’ ἐπὶ πλέον ἐκστάντα καὶ τῆς διαίτης ἀκριβεστέρας καὶ τῶν ἄλλων οἷς ἰσχναίνεται τὸ σῶμα.
