Μεμνημένον ὅτι οἱ τόποι οὗτοι ἐν τοῖσιν αὐτοῖσι σχήμασι πολλὸν χρόνον κείμενοι ἐκτρίμματα δυσάκεστα ποιέουσι. Θερμαινόμενα τὰ κατὰ τὸ ἱερὸν ὀστοῦν, ὃ δὴ καὶ πλατὺ καλοῦσιν, ἐξέδοντά τε καὶ νάρκην καὶ ὑπ’ αὐτῷ τῷ δέρματι δυσιάτους ἑλκύσεις ἐργάζεται, μετὰ γὰρ τὸ δέρμα χονδρώδη πέρατα τῶν ὀστῶν ἐστι καὶ γυμνωθέντα δυσχερῶς ἐπουλοῦνται.
