Καὶ ταῦτα μὲν καθ᾿ ἑαυτὰ τοιάδε τὸ ἐπίπαν ἐστί· πολλὰ δὲ καὶ ἄλλα ἐπίκαιρα παρεῖται, οἷσι προσημαίνεσθαι δεῖ, ἃ εἰρήσεται ὕστερον. Εἶπον κᾀγὼ λείπειν τῷ λόγῳ τῶν χρησίμων εἰς διορισμὸν οὐκ ὀλίγα, περὶ ὧν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐρεῖν ἐπαγγέλλεται· νυνὶ δὲ ἀξιοῖ περὶ τῶν εἰρημένων ἀκούειν μόνον, αὐτὰ γὰρ καθ᾿ ἑαυτὰ τοιαῦτά ἐστιν, ὁποῖα διῆλθεν αὐτός.
