Τοῖσι μὲν οὖν πλείστοισιν αὐτέων ἀποστάσιες ἐς ἐμπυήματα ξυνέπιπτον, σαρκῶν τε καὶ ὀστέων καὶ νεύρων ἐκπτώματα μεγάλα. Τὴν κακοήθειαν τοῦ πλεονάσαντος χυμοῦ διὰ τοῦ μεγέθους τῆς σήψεως συνέστηκε καὶ τοῖς εἰρημένοις ἐφεξῆς συνάπτων ἐρεῖ·
