Ἀποστάσιες οὐ μάλα οἷσι ῥίγεα. Σπανίως ἀποστάσεις γίνονται τοῖς μετὰ ῥίγους πυρέττουσιν, ὥσπερ ἐν τεταρταίοις πυρετοῖς καὶ τριταίοις. αἱ γὰρ ἐν ταῖς παρακμαῖς τῶν τοιούτων παροξυσμῶν ἐκκρίσεις κενοῦσι τὸ πλῆθος, ὥστε πάνυ χρὴ πολλὴν εἶναι τὴν περιουσίαν τῶν λυπούντων χυμῶν, ἵν’ ἡ φύσις ἀποστάσεως δεηθῇ.
