Κακὸν δὲ καὶ τὸ ἐπιξηραινόμενον οἷον ἄχνη. Φαίνεται γινόμενον καὶ τοῦτο ἐν τοῖς ὀξέσι νοσήμασιν, ὅταν ἐσχάτως ᾖ ξηρὰ, σὺν ἀῤῥωστίᾳ δυνάμεως, μικρῶν πάνυ λημυδρίων ἐκπιπτόντων κατὰ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς, εἶτ’ αὖθις ἐπιξηραινομένων. Καὶ τὸ ἀμαυρὸν κακόν. Ἐν τοῖς ὀξέσι νοσήμασι τὸ ἀμαυροῦσθαι τὰς ὄψεις, ἀῤῥωστίαν καὶ νέκρωσιν σημαίνει τῆς ὀπτικῆς δυνάμεως. Καὶ τὸ αὐχμηρὸν κακόν. Ἦν μὲν καὶ τὸ οἷον ἄχνην ἔχον αὐχμηρὸν, ἀλλὰ νῦν, ὅτι κᾂν χωρὶς ἄχνης ᾖ, μοχθηρόν ἐστιν ἐδήλωσε.
