Οἱ μὲν οὖν Αἰγύπτιοι κατὰ τὴν ἰδίαν ὑπόστασιν κεκρατήκασι τοῦ προκειμένου τέλους, οἱ δὲ Ἕλληνες τὴν ἐναντίαν γνώμην ἔχοντες τοὺς μὲν ἐνιαυτοὺς καθ’ ἥλιον ἄγουσι, τοὺς δὲ μῆνας καὶ τὰς ἡμέρας κατὰ σελήνην.
