Λυσίας πρὸς τὴν Μιξιδήμου γραφὴν, εἰ γνήσιος, καὶ δύο παῖδας αὐτῷ ἀκολούθους εἶναι, ὧν οὗτος τὸν μὲν Μουσαῖον καλεῖ, τὸν δὲ Ἡσίοδον. ὅτι μὲν ὁ κρινόμενος ἐπετήδευσε τοὺς οἰκέτας οὕτω καλεῖν δῆλον· περὶ δὲ Μουσαίου Ἀριστόξενος ἐν τοῖς Πραξιδαμαντείοις φησὶν ὅτι οἱ μὲν ἐκ Θρᾴκης εἰρήκασι τὸν ἄνδρα εἶναι, οἱ δὲ αὐτόχθονα ἐξ Ἐλευσῖνος. εἰρήκασι δὲ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἄλλοι τε καὶ Γλαῦκος.
