ΠΩΛΗΤΑΙ καὶ ΠΩΛΗΤΗΡΙΟΝ· οἱ μὲν πωληταὶ ἀρχή τίς ἐστιν Ἀθήνησι, ι τὸν ἀριθμὸν ἄνδρες, εἷς ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ἑκάστης· διοικοῦσι δὲ τὰ πιπρασκόμενα ὑπὸ τῆς πόλεως πάντα, τέλη καὶ μέταλλα καὶ μισθώσεις καὶ τὰ δημευόμενα· Ὑπερείδης ἐν τῷ κατ’ Ἀρισταγόρας β. διείλεκται δὲ περὶ αὐτῶν Ἀριστοτέλης ἐν Ἀθηναίων πολιτείᾳ. πωλητήριον δὲ καλεῖται ὁ τόπος ἔνθα συνεδρεύουσιν οἱ πωληταί· Ἰσαῖος ἐν τῷ κατ’ Ἐλπαγόρου πολλάκις.
