Λυσίας ἐν τῷ κατ’ Αἰσχίνου περὶ τῆς δημεύσεως τῶν Ἀριστοφάνους χρημάτων ἐπειδὴ τοίνυν τοὺς Χύτρους ὁ Δημάρατος ἑάλω προδιδούς. πόλις ἐστὶν ἐν Κύπρῳ οὕτω καλουμένη, καθά φησι Ξεναγόρας ἐν ταῖς Νήσοις. ἔστι δὲ καὶ Ἀττική τις ἑορτὴ Χύτροι, ἧς μνημονεύει Δείναρχος ἐν τῷ κατὰ Πυθέου. ἤγετο δὲ ἡ ἑορτὴ Ἀνθεστηριῶνος τρίτῃ ἐπὶ δέκα, ὥς φησι Φιλόχορος ἐν τῷ περὶ ἑορτῶν.
