Ἰσοκράτης Παναθηναϊκῷ. σχῆμα λέξεώς ἐστιν ἡ ἀντίθεσις, καθ’ ἣν ἀντιτιθέασιν ἀλλήλοις τὰ ἐναντία ἤτοι κατὰ μέρος ἢ ἀθρόα. καὶ κατὰ μέρος μὲν, ὡς Δημοσθένης ἐν τῷ ὑπὲρ Κτησιφῶντος ἐδίδασκες γράμματα, ἐγὼ δ’ ἐφοίτων καὶ τὰ ἑξῆς. ἀθρόως δὲ πάντων πρὸς πάντα, ὡς ὁ αὐτὸς Δημοσθένης ἐν τῷ κατὰ Μειδίου ἀπὸ τοῦ ὁ μέν γε ὑπὸ φίλου ἕως τοῦ βαδίζειν χορηγοῦντι. λέγεται δὲ καὶ ἀντίθετον τὸ αὐτὸ σχῆμα, ὡς Αἰσχίνης ἐν τῇ περὶ τῆς πρεσβείας ἀπολογίᾳ.
