Δημοσθένης ἐν τῷ κατὰ Ἀριστοκράτους. Ἠιὼν πόλις Θρᾴκης, Μενδαίων ἀποικία, ὡς Θουκυδίδης· Θεόπομπος δ’ ἐν τῇ δ φησὶν ὡς Ἀθηναῖοι ἐκβαλόντες ἐξ Ἠιόνος Ἀμφιπολίτας κατέσκαψαν τὸ χωρίον.
