ἩΛΙΑΙΑ καὶ ΗΛΙΑΣΙΣ· ἡλιαία μέν ἐστι τὸ μέγιστον δικαστήριον τῶν Ἀθήνησιν, ἐν ᾧ τὰ δημόσια τῶν πραγμάτων ἐκρίνετο χιλίων δικαστῶν ἢ χιλίων καὶ πεντακοσίων συνιόντων. συνῄεσαν δὲ οἱ μὲν χίλιοι ἐκ δυοῖν δικαστηρίων, οἱ δὲ χίλιοι πεντακόσιοι ἐκ τριῶν. ἡλιάζεσθαι δὲ καὶ ἡλίασίς ἐστι τὸ ἐν ἡλιαίᾳ δικάζειν. Λυσίας ἐν μὲν τῷ πρὸς Γλαύκωνα τὴν ἡλιαίαν πολλάκις ὀνομάζει, ἐν δὲ τῷ κατὰ Φιλωνίδου, εἰ γνήσιος, τῷ ἡλιάζεσθαι ἐχρήσατο.
