Ἀργεῖοι δ ̓, ὡς ἐν τοῖς Ὑπομνήμασί φησιν Ἡγήσανδρος, γράφει δ ̓ οὕτως· «Τὴν συμβολὴν τὴν εἰς τὰ συμπόσια ὑπὸ τῶν πινόντων εἰσφερομένην Ἀργεῖοι χῶν καλοῦσι, τὴν δὲ μερίδα αἶσαν.»
