Ἔστω ἡμᾶς μετρῆσαι σκούταν στρογγύλην, ἧς τὸ διάμετρον ποδῶν ῑ. ποιήσωμεν ῑ ἐπὶ ῑ· γίνονται ρ· τούτων ὕφελε τὸ δ΄ λοιπὸν γίνονται πόδες οε. ὁμοίως καὶ ἐπὶ ἡμισκούτου εὑρήσομεν πόδας λζ U+2220΄·
