Ἔστω θέατρον, οὗ ἡ μείζων περιφέρεια ποδῶν ρ, ἡ δὲ ἐλάσσων ποδῶν π· εὑρεῖν, πόσοι ἄνθρωποι καθέζονται. ποίει οὕτως· τοὺς ρ ἐπὶ τοὺς π· γίνονται η· τοσοῦτοι ἄνδρες καθέζονται. ἰστέον, ὅτι κατὰ πόδα ᾱ καθέζεται ἀνὴρ εἷς, τουτέστιν εἰς δακτύλους ῑϛ.
