Μέτρησις τμήματος ἐλάσσονος ἡμικυκλίου, οὗ ἡ βάσις ποδῶν ῑβ, ἡ δὲ κάθετος ποδῶν δ. ποίει οὕτως· σύνθες βάσιν καὶ κάθετον· γίνονται πόδες ῑϛ· ὧν τὸ U+2220΄· γίνονται η· ταῦτα τὰ η ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον· γίνονται πόδες λβ. καὶ πάλιν λαβὲ τὸ U+2220΄ τῆς βάσεως· γίνονται πόδες ϛ· ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται ἑξάκις ϛ λϛ· ὧν τὸ ιδ΄· γίνονται πόδες β U+2220΄ ιδ΄· ταῦτα πρόσθες τοῖς λβ· γίνονται πόδες λδ U+2220΄ ιδ΄. τοσούτου τὸ ἐμβαδόν.
