Ἔστω πυραμὶς ἐπὶ τετραγώνου, ἧς ἡ βάσις ποδῶν κδ, τὰ δὲ κλίματα ποδῶν ῑη· εὑρεῖν τὸ στερεὸν τῆς πυραμίδος. ποιῶ οὕτως· λαμβάνω ἀπὸ τῆς πυραμίδος τῆς βάσεως τετράγωνον· γίνονται πόδες φοϛ· καὶ τὰ ῑη τοῦ κλίματος ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται πόδες τκδ· λαβὲ τὸ U+2220΄ τοῦ ἀπὸ τῆς βάσεως τοὺς σπη· λοιπὴ ἡ ὑπεροχὴ πόδες λϛ· ὧν πλευρὰ τετραγωνικὴ γίνεται ποδῶν ϛ· ἔστω ἡ κάθετος τῆς πυραμίδος. εὑρεῖν τὸ στερεόν. τῆς καθέτου τὸ γ΄· γίνονται πόδες β· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὸ ἐμβαδὸν τῆς βάσεως· γίνονται πόδες ,ᾱρνβ. τοσοῦτο τὸ στερεὸν τῆς πυραμίδος.
