Πυραμὶς ἐπὶ ἰσοπλεύρου τριγώνου τεθηκυῖα. μετρήσωμεν οὕτως· ἐχέτω γὰρ ἑκάστη πλευρὰ τῆς βάσεως ἀνὰ πόδας λ· ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται Ϡ· τούτων τὸ γ΄· καὶ τὰ ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται υ. τούτων ὕφελε τὰ τ· λοιπὸν ρ· ὧν πλευρὰ τετραγωνικὴ γίνεται ῑ. τοσούτου ἡ κάθετος. τὸ δὲ ἐμβαδόν· τοῦ τριγώνου τῆς βάσεως τὸ γ΄· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον. τοσούτου τὸ στερεόν.
