Πυραμίδα ἐπὶ τετραγώνου ἰσοπλεύρου μετρήσωμεν οὕτως· τὰ μὲν κλίματα ἀνὰ ποδῶν ῑϛ, ἡ δὲ βάσις πϲδῶν ῑη· εὑρεῖν αὐτῆς τὴν κάθετον. πολυπλασίασον μίαν πλευρὰν τῆς βάσεως· ταῦτα δίς· ὧν τὸ τέταρτον. καὶ τῶν κλιμάτων ἓν ἐφʼ ἑαυτό· ἀπὸ τούτων ὕφελε· λοιπὸν 𝔮δ γίνονται. τοσούτου ἡ κάθετος. τὸ δὲ στερεόν· τὰ ῑη ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον· τούτων τὸ τρίτον. τοσούτου τὸ στερεόν.
