Μέτρησις τετρασιρίου, οὗ ἡ διάμετρος ποδῶν θ U+2220΄, ἡ δὲ κάθετος ποδῶν ζ, τὸ δὲ μῆκος ποδῶν ῑγ. σύνθες τὴν διάμετρον καὶ τὸ μῆκος· ὧν τὸ U+2220΄· ταῦτα ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· καὶ ταῦτα πάλιν ἑνδεκάκι· γίνονται πόδες ᾱτ𝔮ᾱ U+2220΄· ὧν τὸ ιδ΄· γίνονται πόδες 𝔮θ δ΄. ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον· γίνονται χ𝔮δ U+2220΄ δ΄· καὶ τούτων πρόσθες τὸ ιδ΄· γίνονται πόδες μθ U+2220΄ η΄· ὡς γίνεσθαι ὕψους ψμδ U+2220΄. ἐὰν δὲ θέλῃς εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ βησαλικόν, σύνθες τὴν διάμετρον καὶ τὸ μῆκος· ὧν τὸ U+2220΄· γίνονται πόδες ῑᾱ δ΄· ταῦτα τρισσάκις καὶ τὸ ζ΄· γίνονται πόδες λε δ΄· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον· γίνονται πόδες σμϛ δ΄.
