Ἔστω ὀκταγώνιον ἰσόπλευρον καὶ ἰσογώνιον ἔχον τὴν πλευρὰν κδ. ταῦτα ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὸν κθ· ταῦτα μέριζε ἐπὶ τὸν ϛ· τοσοῦτον τὸ ἐμβαδόν. τὴν δὲ περίμετρον· τρισσάκις τὴν διάμετρον τοῦ κύκλου· καὶ τὸ ιδ΄· καὶ εὑρίσκεις τὴν πλευρὰν ἀκριβῶς.
