Τρίγωνον χώραν καὶ παρασκελῆ μετρήσωμεν οὕτως· ἡ μὲν κατατείνουσα ἀριστερὰ ἔχουσα ἀκαίνας τξε, ἡ δὲ κατατείνουσα δεξιὰ ἀκαίνας τῑ, ἡ δὲ ὑπὸ πόδα ἀκαίνας σ· σύμβαλε τὰς δύο κατατεινούσας, καὶ τούτων τὸ U+2220΄ ἐπὶ τὸ U+2220΄ τῆς ὑπὸ πόδα· καὶ εὑρήσεις τὴν ἀλήθειαν.
