Χώραν ἑτεροπλατοῦσαν ἐν τέσσαρσιν τόποις μετρήσωμεν οὕτως· ἔχει τὸ πλάτος ἀκαίνας κ, τὸ δὲ παρὰ μέσον ἀκαίνας ῑε, ἔτι ἀκαίνας ῑβ, τὸ δὲ στενὸν ἀκαίνας η· τὰ πάντα συμμίξας μέριζε τέταρτον· καὶ εὑρήσεις ῑγ U+2220΄ δ΄. τούτους πάλιν ἐπὶ τὸ μῆκος· καὶ εὑρήσεις τὴν ἀλήθειαν. ἡ ἄκαινα ἔχει πόδας ῑβ.
