Ἔστω ξύλον τετράγωνον, οὗ τὸ μῆκος ποδῶν κ, τὸ δὲ πλάτος δακτύλων ιϛ, τὸ δὲ πάχος δακτύλων ιβ. ποίει οὕτως· πολυπλασίασον τὸ πλάτος ἐπὶ τὸ πάχος· γίνονται δάκτυλοι ρ𝔮β· τούτους ἐπὶ τὸ μῆκος· γίνονται δάκτυλοι γωμ.
