Ξύλον μύουρον μετρήσωμεν οὕτως, οὗ τὸ μῆκος ποδῶν ιβ, τὸ δὲ πλάτος δακτύλων ια, τὸ δὲ μέσον δακτύλων θ, τὸ δὲ πάχος δακτύλων η· ποίει οὕτως· τετράγωνον· ἥμισυ τῶν η δ· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ θ· γίνονται λϛ· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὸ μῆκος· γίνονται δάκτυλοι υλβ οὗτοί εἰσιν πόδες λ.
