ἐὰν δὲ θέλῃς τριγώνου ἰσοπλεύρου τὴν κάθετον εὑρεῖν, οὗ ἑκάστη πλευρὰ σχοινίων λ, ποίει οὕτως· τὴν ᾱ πλευρὰν ἐφʼ ἑαυτήν· γίνονται ϡ ὧν τὸ δ΄ σκε· λοιπὰ χοε. ὧν πλευρὰ τετράγωνος σύνεγγυς κϛ· καὶ ἔσται ἡ κάθετος σχοινίων κϛ. ταῦτα πολλαπλασίασον ἐπὶ τὴν βάσιν, τουτέστιν ἐπὶ τὰ λ· γίνονται ψπ· ὧν τὸ U+2220ʹ γίνεται τ𝒢. τούτων δὲ τὸ U+2220ʹ γίνεται ρ𝒢ε· καὶ ἔστι γῆς μοδίων τοσούτων.
