Ἕτερον τρίγωνον ἰσόπλευρον, οὗ ἑκάστη τῶν πλευρῶν ἀνὰ σχοινίων λ· εὑρεῖν δὲ τὸ ἐμβαδὸν αὐτοῦ. ποίει οὕτως· τὰ λ ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται ϡ· ταῦτα πολλαπλασίασον ἐπὶ τὰ ιγ, καὶ γίνονται α ,αψ· ὧν τὸ λ΄· γίνονται τ𝒢· τοσούτων σχοινίων ἐστὶ τὸ ἐμβαδόν. κατὰ δὲ τὴν ἄνω μέθοδον οὕτως· τὰ λ ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται ϡ· ὧν τὸ γ΄ καὶ τὸ ι΄· γίνονται τ𝒢· τοσούτων σχοινίων ἐστὶ τὸ ἐμβαδόν.
